The challenge
New devices, platforms, social media, new entrants and changing audience expectations have changed how news is gathered, produced, distributed and consumed. BBC News had to decide what kind of organisation it needed to become.
“An incredibly valuable process.”
What we did
We stood back to explore the 'art of the possible' in delivery models and digital ways of working, and identified three alternative organising principles for the future operating model.
By the end of the process there was clear consensus on a preferred model, which represented a significant step forward for the initiative.
