The challenge

Away Resorts runs parks with extensive grounds, facilities and full entertainment programmes, and each park has its own identity. The challenge was to unify the resorts under one consistent digital experience while keeping park-specific functionality and booking features, and to solve the business's complexity through integration.

What we did

After strategy workshops, customer journey mapping and prototyping, we designed a 'park buddy' app with Away Resorts that helps guests make the most of their stay and helps owners get the most from their investment.

Guests find out what's on, book and manage activities, order food and drink, and explore the park on a bespoke interactive map that plots the best route to any facility, or to their lodge.

Owners view their accounts, make payments, submit subletting dates and order essentials such as gas bottles and electrical safety tests. Built and hosted on Microsoft technologies, with SMS and notifications adding a new channel before, during and after the stay.
